Fuel System Repairs
Induction Cleaning, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, Fuel Injectors and Fuel Pressure Regulator Repairs

Even through normal operation, your engine will accumulate deposits inside the manifold and injectors. This carbon buildup can rob your engine of power and, in some cases, will even cause your car to run rough. By regularly cleaning the injectors and fuel system of these harmful deposits, you will maintain smooth operation, higher fuel mileage and cleaner emissions. Induction cleaning will alleviate build-up of deposits in the fuel system.
Fuel Injector
The fuel injector is a nozzle-and-valve system that sprays gasoline into the engine. Most of today's vehicles dedicate a single injector for each cylinder. Typically, the engine processor will send the signal to open the valve, thus allowing fuel into the cylinders.
Fuel Filter
The fuel filter removes dirt and debris from the fuel system, preventing damage to the fuel pump, fuel injectors, and the fuel pressure regulator. Many manufacturers don't specify a replacement interval, but it's wise to replace the fuel filter at every 30,000 mile service.
Many vehicles also use a screen- or "sock"-type filter in the fuel tank. Any restriction at this or the main fuel filter location can cause performance issues such as poor performance when climbing hills or under acceleration. Blocked fuel filters can cause engine moaning noises. Due to extended replacement intervals, fuel filters tend to be overlooked during diagnostic procedures.
Fuel Pump
The fuel pump creates pressure in the fuel lines, which pushes gasoline through the fuel injectors and into the engine. Unlike engine-mounted, mechanically-driven fuel pumps of the past, modern fuel pumps are self-contained units, independently mounted away from the engine. All modern fuel pumps incorporate an electric motor and many are installed in the fuel tank (where they are constantly immersed in fuel).
